Library Services
The Itta Bena Public Library is housed in the Itta Bena Community House. The library services are provided under the direction of the Community Service Learning Department student volunteers.

The Delta Research & Cultural Institute at Mississippi Valley State University is available to the citizens
of Itta Bena free of charge. The institute has a six station state-of-the-art computer lab and a public
meeting space that holds up to 30 people. DRCI has an online database which provides access to a
vast range of social, economic, political, and cultural data on the Mississippi Delta. The hours of
operation are 8:00am-5:00pm (Mon. – Thurs.) and 8:00am – 4:00pm (Fri.). For more information on

The James Herbert White Library is located on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University and is
open to all community patrons. Most of the library collections are research and academic related. The
library hours are 8:00am – 10:00pm (Mon. – Thurs.), 8:00am – 7:00pm (Fri.), 10:00am – 4:00pm

The Greenwood-Leflore Public Library is open to Itta Bena residents. The library is located at 305 Thurman Street. The Library services are provided under the direction of a volunteer librarian and the Community Service Learning Department students.
