Dorothy Street Park is named for the Dorothy Street family who owned several parcels of land on Martin Luther King (formerly Hobson Street) in the heart of the “Balance Due” community.  The park is home to the community summer sports programs. 

Kimbrough Park which provides easy access to Roebuck Lake is a prime location for residents and visitors to enjoy a day of boating, fishing, water skiing, and other recreational activities.  Kimbrough Park has an open field and gazebo ideal for large gatherings. 

Roebuck Lake, a 580-acre lake has served as a main source of entertainment for people from all around.  Although the water quality of the lake is depreciating due to the flow of pollutants from area cropland fields, the lake still remains an excellent recreational source for residents and visitors.    

Sunflower Park is the ideal location for outdoor recreation such as baseball or softball.  It is also a favorite site for family reunions and other outside functions.   The park has plenty of room for picnicking or for taking a casual stroll.
The Itta Bena Community House is equipped with a spacious assembly hall and full service kitchen.  The outside area has an open area perfect for outside meeting gatherings, a seating area and tennis court.  For more information on rental fees and policies, contact the City Hall.    

The L.T. Brazil Community Center which also sits directly in the heart of the “Balance Due” community is a new facility perfect for meetings, receptions, and other events.  The center is connected to Dorothy Street Park making it an ideal location for reunions, summer programs, and other events.  For more information on rental fees and policies, contact the City Hall.
